Dr. Reza Tahernia, DMD

Dr. Reza Tahernia was born and raised in Iran, where he began his dental training at Shahid Beheshti Dental School, graduating in 1998. He later moved to Vancouver, BC, Canada in 2002, where he furthered his dental education at the University of British Columbia School of Dentistry, graduating in 2006. While in Vancouver, he ran a successful dental practice while at the same time serving as a part-time member of the University of British Columbia dental faculty. Dr. Tahernia’s passion for dentistry is evident in his extensive postgraduate training as he continually strives to incorporate the latest technologies and techniques into his practice. While skilled at all aspects of dentistry, he is especially adept at oral surgeries, implants, and root canals.

Dr. Nino Tsintsadze

Dr. Nino Tsintsadze is born and raised in Tbilisi, Georgia where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with highest honors at the Tbilisi State University in 2011. She moved to Washington, DC in 2014 and successfully graduated from Advanced Education in General Dentistry Postgraduate program at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, USA, in 2017, where she treated patients with advanced cosmetic and functional dental needs.

As a recipient of International Association for Dental Research (IADR) scholarship, Dr. Tsintsadze has been involved in dental research since 2012 and has published several research papers on dental materials as part of her PhD program in Dental Biomaterials at the University of Siena, Siena, Italy. She obtained her PhD degree in 2022.

Dr. Nino Tsintsadze is very passionate about her profession and thinks that being a dentist gives her the unique opportunity to be a doctor and artist at the same time. She loves to help her patients achieve having a beautiful smile and good oral health. She strives to stay up to date in her profession by attending various continuing education courses. While practicing as a General Dentist in Northern Virginia past years Dr. Tsintsadze got additional training in laser and digital dentistry which helps her daily to provide high quality dental care as well as ease dental procedures for her patients.

In her free time, Dr. Tsintsadze likes to spend time with her husband and daughter and enjoys traveling.

Dr. Gianandrea Wotfe

Dr. Gianandrea Wotfe is a highly accomplished dentist with extensive technical expertise and over 25 years of dedicated experience in the field. She graduated in Dental School from UNISA – São Paulo, Brazil, where she laid the foundation for her career and furthered a Specialty Degree in Periodontics solidifying her expertise in this crucial area of Dentistry.

Dr. Wotfe’s commitment to excellence led to pursue advanced training in Oral Surgery at the São Paulo Area Military Hospital, Brazil, enhancing her proficiency in complex surgical procedures.

For an impressive 16 years, Dr. Wotfe served as an integral member of the Clinical Corps at Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein, a renowned medical institution that serves as a reference point throughout Latin America. During her tenure, she played a pivotal role in Hospital Dentistry, preparing hospitalized patients for life-changing organ transplant procedures. Moreover, Dr. Wotfe expanded her horizons with an advanced training in Implant Dentistry, focusing in tissue bioengineering techniques, at the University of Michigan – MI. She earned her DDS degree by completing the Post-Doctoral in General Dentistry Residency at the Florida Institute for Advanced Dental Education in Miami, FL. It was during this program that she discovered a newfound passion for General Dentistry with a focus on Cosmetic Dentistry using cutting edge digital technologies.

A constant pursuit of excellence continues to shape her distinguished career, where her dedication to patient care and innovation in dental procedures remain at the forefront.

Dr. Peajmun Razmjou

Dr. Razmjou completed his undergraduate and doctorate degrees at the University of Maryland. Since his graduation from the University of Maryland Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, he has continued to stay on the leading edge of dentistry through continuing education courses. His dedication to advancing his knowledge of dentistry has allowed him to develop a unique skill set that can only be found in a select few dentists. He takes the time to get to know his patients, making sure they are comfortable in his care before starting a treatment plan. Dr. Razmjou understands the importance of fostering a positive doctor-patient relationship, and he looks forward to meeting you and treating you for years to come.

Dr. Kheirieh

Dr. Sanam Kheirieh earned her Doctorate Dental degree from Iran in 2005, where she worked as a general dentist for six years. After practicing dentistry and performing research projects, she decided to continue her career in the field of Endodontics. She received her specialty degree in Endodontics from the University of Maryland where she also earned her Masters degree in Biomedical Science. She continued to expand her knowledge alongside her clinical skills through research projects in the field of dentistry and specifically dental materials. Dr. Kheirieh has several publications mainly in the field of Endodontics and almost 500 citations. She has numerous oral and poster presentations at scientific dental meetings. In 2015, she was awarded “The Sherril Ann Science Endodontic Research Fellowship Award”, for demonstrating exceptional ability in the field of endodontic research. This award was granted for developing “Nanogel-based Scaffold in Endodontics”. Dr. Kheirieh is an active member of the American Association of Endodontics, International Association of Dental Research, American Dental Association, Northern Virginia Dental Society, and Endodontic Penik Study Club.

Dr. Akhavan

Melody Akhavan, MD, is a well-versed anesthesiologist who attends to patients as the Lead Anesthesiologist at Arlington Dental Center and Del Ray Dental Center in Virginia. As an anesthesiologist, Dr. Akhavan is primarily responsible for the safety and well-being of patients throughout the entire surgery process. This may include general anesthesia, regional anesthetics, or sedation for the relief of pain and anxiety. She is also responsible for the preoperative and postoperative assessments of patients to ensure patient safety before and after they receive anesthesia. Dr. Akhavan has an impressive professional journey spanning ten years, and her areas of expertise cover both ambulatory and office-based anesthesia. Throughout her many years in practice, she has upheld a steadfast commitment to the ethical and professional standards of her practice, as evidenced by her sterling record. Dr. Ahavan ensures an impeccable degree of customer satisfaction in all facets of her work. Dr. Akhavan and the Arlington Dental Center team are pleased to offer high-quality peri-operative anesthesia services to patients in a convenient and comfortable office setting.

Dr. Mahsa Abdolhosseini

Dr. Mahsa Abdolhosseini, Board Certified Periodontist, started her journey in the field of dentistry in 1996. She continued this path at the University of Pennsylvania and received her specialty certificate in Periodontics, Implant Dentistry and Masters in Oral Biology. She was awarded the J. George Coslet Scholarship during her post-doctoral studies from University of Pennsylvania Periodontics Department, where she now serves as Clinical Associate Professor. She has received the Distinguished Teaching Award in 2019 from University of Pennsylvania, and American Academy of Periodontology Award for Outstanding Teaching and Mentoring in Periodontics in 2020.

Dr. Mahsa is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and an active member of American Academy of Periodontology. She has extensive experience in traditional periodontics as well as cutting edge regenerative treatment, dental implant surgery and cosmetic periodontal plastic surgery procedures, but more importantly she considers empathy, demystifying concerns, and educating her patients to be the foundations of quality care.

Dr. Scott Berman

Dr. Berman is a Northern Virginia native and a graduate of Langley High School. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and his DDS from the Medical College of Virginia. He then completed his specialty training in Orthodontics and a Master of Science in Oral Biology at the Medical College of Georgia.

Dr. Berman has been a board-certified orthodontist for over 20 years. When he isn’t helping patients achieve their best smiles, he is an avid golfer and tennis player.
