Modern Dental Technology in Arlington, VA
As comfortable and inviting as our office is, we understand that patients don’t want to spend more time at the dentist than they have to. That is why we place such a high priority on investing in dental technology that makes dental visits faster without sacrificing quality. We want each appointment to be as pleasant and productive as possible, and that requires having state-of-the-art dental technology in addition to our skilled dental team. Comfortable Dental Care
As dental technology evolves, there is more focus placed on providing comfortable treatments for patients. For example, taking dental impressions the old-fashioned way requires patients to bite down on a mold full of strange-tasting putty for almost a full minute, which can trigger sensitive gag reflexes and make for an unpleasant experience. Our team uses iTero® scanners to quickly capture thousands of digital images of the patient’s teeth in just a few minutes. Digital impressions are more accurate, and patients can relax in the dental chair while the small device is moved over their teeth.
Advanced Digital Technology
Effective and efficient care is our goal at Arlington Dental Center. Our team stays up-to-date on the latest trends and treatments in dentistry, and our office uses advanced technology to ensure that our patients are always getting the highest quality care.
CEREC® Same-Day Crowns
Traditional crowns usually take two visits to complete. If you have a damaged, weak, or broken tooth, we don’t want you to have to wait to get it repaired. We have advanced CEREC technology so we can craft and apply your custom-made dental crown in a single visit!
Digital X-Rays
We use digital X-rays to capture accurate images of your teeth and jawbone. The images are available immediately, so we can begin the diagnosis and treatment processes fast. Digital X-rays emit up to 90% less radiation than traditional X-rays, too, so they’re a very safe way to get the images we need.
Intraoral Camera
Our intraoral camera gives you a glimpse of what we see when we look into your mouth. We use it to guide you through your diagnosis and treatment plan. It also takes high-resolution pictures that give us a better look at hard-to-see areas.
Soft Tissue Laser
Laser dentistry allows our team to complete procedures like oral surgery without drills or sutures. With our soft tissue laser, we can treat gum disease, contour gums for cosmetic or restorative purposes, perform biopsies, heal infections, and more. The procedures are often faster and less painful than traditional methods, and healing time is shorter.
Painless Injections with Vibraject®
With the Vibraject system, patients don’t report feeling discomfort when getting anesthesia; they just remember the light buzzing, like the sound of a hummingbird. Vibraject’s fast vibrations carry pressure sensations on thicker, more insulated nerve tissues, essentially blocking your brain from feeling any discomfort during the shot.
Dentistry in 3D
Thanks to advanced 3D printing and scanning technology, you no longer have to worry about messy dental impressions or week-long waits for outsourced restorations to come in. We’ve cut out the middleman, sparing no expense to deliver nothing but the best quality of service to our patients. Getting the care you need and deserve has never been easier or quicker. With our iTero® scanner, we can take digital impressions of your mouth and even deliver same-day crowns thanks to our Form 2® 3D printer. It’s the dental technology of tomorrow today.
Faster Turnaround Times
It used to be that if you needed a dental crown, you would have to schedule multiple appointments so that an off-site lab would have time to create your permanent crown after they received your impressions. At Arlington Dental Center, we respect our patient’s time, and we try to make our services as efficient and convenient as possible. Our Form 2® 3D printer allows our team to print durable dental crowns that can be placed on the same day that the tooth is treated. Our digital X-rays are also much faster than film X-rays, which allows our staff to diagnose and treat dental issues quickly and accurately.
Painless Treatment Options
It is not uncommon for patients to cancel dental appointments or avoid scheduling them in the first place due to being afraid of dental pain. The teeth and gums are sensitive areas, and we completely understand why dental treatments, especially restorative treatments, are anxiety-inducing. Our modern dental equipment, like our soft-tissue lasers, give us the ability to perform faster treatments that cause less soreness and sensitivity. While patients are sometimes apprehensive about lasers, soft-tissue lasers are incredibly precise, and they can treat issues like infections and gum disease without the use of dental drills or sutures.
