A dental veneer is an ultra-thin shell of tooth-colored material that we attach to the outside of your tooth to change its appearance. Veneers can be used for one tooth or for many teeth! They are custom-designed based on your treatment plan and desired results. We use a tooth shade chart to choose the best color to match your smile. You won’t have to worry about them becoming dull or discolored since they are stain-resistant.
Dental veneers generally take two visits to place. In the first, we prepare your teeth, which means we remove a small bit of your enamel to accommodate where the veneer will go. This is to ensure the veneer looks and fits naturally, rather than feeling like an uncomfortable, bulky addition. At this time, we’ll also take impressions of your teeth to get your custom veneers made and provide you with temporary veneers if need be. During the second visit, we’ll actually bond the dental veneers to your teeth, make any necessary adjustments, and polish them. You’ll walk out of our office with a new and improved smile!
